November 24 – Westerly Hills Trail – 4.5 miles
December 22 – Wild Iris Trail – 1.6 miles
December 29 – Red Fox/Arrowhead Trail - 1.6 miles
January 19th – Smoketree Trail – 2 mile loop

Beech Mountain invites all guests, residents and neighbors to hike the trails less traveled. Meet at Fred’s General Mercantile or the trail head at 8:45 am.

Annual Beech Mountain Yard Sale
June 21st, 2009
Friends and neighbors get together to sell and swap their prized possessions.
Booth spaces can be rented from the Beech Mtn Chamber of Commerce for a fee of $10.00.
The Yard Sale will be held in the field across from the Chamber of Commerce next to the Brick Oven Pizzeria.
The hours of the yard sale are from 8 AM to 1 PM.
Sellers must be ready by 7:30 AM. Free parking.

Annual Kiddo Fishing Derby
June 28th, 2009
One of Beech Mountain's annual events that is open to all children ages 4 to 12 (under 10 must have adult supervision).

This event is free and is sponsored by the member businesses that comprise the Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce.
Prizes and trophies are awarded for boys and girls who catch the first trout, largest trout, heaviest trout, and the first to catch the limit of 4 trout.
Just bring your fishing gear and favorite bait.

Registration is at 8 AM and the derby begins at 9 AM.

47th Annual Roasting of the Hog
July 5th ,2009
One of the High Country's premier Independence Day celebrations.
The Town of Beech Mountain , the Beech Mountain Volunteer Fire Department, and the Beech Mtn Chamber of Commerce host this event.
After years of perfecting the seasonings and charcoal blends, our barbeque is arguably the best in the High Country.
Enjoy music while dining outdoors (weather permitting, of course). And at dark, enjoy one of the best fireworks displays in the high country.
Serving at 6 PM and fireworks at dark.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Beech Mtn Chamber of Commerce, Fred's General Mercantile, or they may be purchased at the gate.
Tickets are $15.00 per person and $5.00 for children 10 and under.

Sunday Concerts at Fred’s Gazebo
Many summer Sunday’s feature concerts at Fred’s Gazebo with lots of fun for the whole family.

Our D.J., Mac Mast is a master at reading the crowd and playing music that will get your heart pumping and your feet moving.
Music starts at 7 PM weather permitting.

August 2nd, 2009
Check out the ever-popular Crafts on the Green, held in August, featuring over 60 vendors for all your shopping pleasures.

Mile-High Kite Festival
August 31st, 2009
A September favorite that offers kite enthusiasts the rare chance to fly a kite at a mile above sea level.
Richmond Air Force, Wings Across Carolina Kiting and Okra Society Kiting Clubs will be showing there stuff as well.
We offer kite building and decorating clinics so be sure to bring your supplies.
